Municipality Frigiliana

Village of Frigiliana is located in Axarquia region of Malaga province (Andalusia, Spain). It is situated just 6 kms inland, above the resort town of Nerja, bordering the Sierras de Tejeda and Almijara Nature Park.

Frigiliana is one of the most picturesque white villages in region. It has winding narrow cobbled streets, white washed house with wrought iron balconies and brightly coloured pots of geraniums, that has lead in previous years to the village the accolade of "prettiest village in Andalucia."

The traces of life in region lead back to prehistoric times, however it is the remains of the Moorish occupation of the village that is most evident today.
