Municipality Castello de Farfanya

Castello de Farfanya is a municipality from Comarca de la Noguera in autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in Lleida province, on the banks of the river Farfanya, northwest of Balaguer.

The area has moderately rugged relief with holm-oaks and vegetation. The local economic is based mainly on the agriculture and livestock and there are many farms. The land is dry but there is opportunity for change after the construction of the irrigation channel Algerri - Balaguer.
