Municipality Biar

Municipality Biar is located at Costa Blanca, in autonomous community of Valencian Community, South-eastern Spain. It is part of Alicante province.

The town of Biar is situated to the north-west of the provincial capital - city of Alicante, on the western foothills of the Sierra de Mariola between the towns of Villena and Castalla.

The region was exhibited since the prehistoric era. Evidences of agricultural activities and produce were during the so called Andalusian period.

Nowadays the local government making great attempts to improving its sectors related to services and tourism. The visitors would be happy to find remnants of the long and colorful history of the region and its still intact architecture.
